Royal Caribbean has announced the return of Independence of the Seas, popular with British travellers, to Southampton.

The ship will be doing a selection of sailings from Southampton to Europe and the Mediterranean in 2016.

Itineraries include three and four night mini breaks to Paris and Bruges, seven night cruise itineraries to France and Spain, and a number of 14 night breaks from Southampton to the Mediterranean.

The company’s third Oasis Class ship, Harmony of the Seas, will mark the start of the 2016 summer season in Europe with sailings from Barcelona and Rome. A selection of seven night sailings - visiting ports such as Palma in Mallorca, Provence in France, Florence/Pisa/Naples – are available.

Also returning to the UK is Navigator of the Seas, following a recent £50 million makeover.

Bookings of 16 or more can receive a discount on the final amount due by the group.
