Horticultural courses for group gardening enthusiasts

Date Posted: 02/10/2012

New horticultural courses run by the Eden Project in Cornwall aim to inspire and educate special interest groups.

With options suitable for both absolute beginners and seasoned professionals, the green-fingered courses range from hour-long taster sessions to day courses with Eden’s expert horticulturalists.

Designed to introduce gardening groups to new topics, hour-long sessions will cover themes including growing from seed, container gardening, and growing a curry from your windowsill.

Half-day courses include entry to the Eden Project for the day, and aim to give budding gardeners basic skills along with practical experience.

Covering essential areas of gardening such as soils and compost making, additional sessions include sustainable growing, carnivorous plants, and allotments.

Providing a deeper understanding of gardening, full day courses will enable groups to learn specific skills such as beekeeping, foraging, hedge laying and willow weaving.
