Discover new theatre and arts at HighTide Festival, Suffolk

The line-up has been released for HighTide Festival 2015, which will showcase never-been-seen-before drama and stage arts.

Tickets are now on sale for the the HighTide Festival, which will take place in Aldeburgh, Suffolk, between 10th and 20th September.

The annual festival was created to champion emerging playwrights and showcase the work of up-and-coming talent in drama, comedy and music.

The 2015 festival will feature three world premieres, a critically acclaimed transfer, and a series of readings, musical performances and comedy.

The festival begins with So Here We Are, a play which examines the tragedy of young lives cut short and childhood friendships under strain in adult life.

This will be followed by BRENDA, a story about a young woman who doesn't think she's a person.

HighTide will then host Harrogate, a play exploring the struggles of a father fighting to confront his obsessions. Before closing with Lampedusa,which examines the desperation of people trying reach Europe in unstable migrant boats.

Other highlights include performances from comedians Shappi Khorsandi, Sam Simmons, Nish Kumar and John Kearns and musical sets from James Pearson and Polly Gibbonsof Ronnie Scott’s, and a Big Beach Sing led by Firefly Burning and the Trad Academy Sea Shanty Choir.
