Date Posted: 15/01/2012

Warwickshire’s Heritage Motor Centre is to host major new exhibition Motoring Record Breakers from the 11th February to 2nd September.

Presenting the best of motoring record breakers including some of the fastest British cars, the slowest, smallest, most economical, plus the more wacky record breakers, visiting groups can explore a collection of vehicles which created new horizons and helped change the face of motoring.

Highlights include the Sunbeam 1,000hp, the first ever car to set a land speed record of over 200mph; and steam car Inspiration (pictured), which holds the land speed record for a steam car, secured in 2009.

The exhibition is included in standard admission fees. Parties of 12 or more people planning a visit to the Heritage Motor Centre are entitled to discounted group rates. Guided tours are also available.
