Headline acts unveiled for next year’s Norfolk & Norwich Festival

Date Posted: 06/12/2011

Promoted as one of the UK’s most significant annual arts festivals, next year’s Norfolk & Norwich Festival will run from the 11th to 26th May.

With a number of acts and events already unveiled, one of this year’s headline acts, 100% Norfolk - created by experimental theatre company Rimini Protokoll - will star Norfolk’s local population with a cast of 100.

Visiting groups can also enjoy additional highlights including French circus phenomena Compagnie XY; and Spira Mirabilis - aiming to redefine the classical music experience for audiences.

In addition to the Norfolk & Norwich Festival in May, two landmark events are being programmed as part of the London 2012 Festival. Premiering in Norwich Cathedral before embarking on a tour of UK cathedrals, How Like An Angel (pictured) will bring together contemporary circus and vocal ensemble; while Robert Wilson’s participatory art installation Walking, will be unveiled against the backdrop of north Norfolk’s vast coast in late August.

Group travel organisers should note that the full programme for the Norfolk & Norwich Festival will be available from February.
