Halloween with Harry Potter

Date Posted: 10/09/2015

Harry Potter fans can delve into the Dark Arts this Halloween, as Hertfordshire attraction, Warner Bros. Studio Tour London – The Making of Harry Potter, hosts a special two-week feature on the darker aspects of the Harry Potter film series.

From 16th October to 1st November, groups will be able to duel against Death Eaters, see a 20-foot model of Voldemort’s snake Nagini and learn wand combat moves.

Visitors will also be able to learn how wands were made during production as members of head prop maker Pierre Bohanna’s team demonstrate some of the methods they used to hand-carve wands for the film series.

Dementers and a Halloween feast

The latest attraction to be opened on the Studio Tour, Platform 9 ¾, is home to the original Hogwarts Express locomotive.

One of the carriage’s compartments will be dressed as it was for scenes in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban where frightening creatures, the Dementors, board the school train.

The Great Hall set will be dressed for the occasion too, with a section of its long tables laden with a Halloween feast including red apples, pumpkins and cauldrons of lollipops.
