Guernsey encourages more groups

Date Posted: 28/01/2011

Guernsey is aiming to attract more groups to the island this year, following the introduction of its dedicated groups e-brochure, and increased interest from specialist operators at the Guersey Trade Workshop event last May.

Groups can enjoy a host of attractions and experiences, with Guernsey’s heritage venues and museums focusing on its maritime history and occupation by the German forces during World War Two, proving particularly popular with visiting groups. Highlights include Hauteville House in St Peter Port, Sausmarez Manor house and the colourful Little Chapel, thought to be the smallest in the world.

Boasting a range of accommodation to suit large parties, groups can also choose to extend their visit with a day excursion to the traffic-free islands of Herm and Sark.

The groups e-brochure is available to download on the website, providing useful contact details for tour providers and accredited guides, accommodation information and excursion ideas.
