Group combo tickets to Hertfordshire gardens

Date Posted: 12/05/2015

This summer, two of Hertfordshire’s most iconic gardens, the Royal National Rose Society Gardens and the gardens of Knebworth House, will welcome group visits as part of the gardens’ twin destination package.

From 6th June to 2nd August, groups of 25 or more can visit both the Royal National Rose Society Gardens and the gardens of Knebworth House in a dual venue offer which now accommodates group tours.

Groups will begin the day at Royal National Rose Society Gardens near St Albans where visitors will see a pergola with 72 arches. Each pillar is supported by climbing roses, clematis and lonicera. There is also a rose collection that outlines the history of the rose and the Queen Mother rose garden.

Parties can then take their transport to the 28 acre formal gardens of Knebworth House where they will explore the historic ‘Garden-rooms’ designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. Groups can also wander through the rose gardens, the Jekyll herb garden and the walled vegetable garden.

For an additional cost, visitors can supplment the garden experiences with a guided group tour of Knebworth House and can arrange morning coffee, lunch and afternoon tea.
