Greenwich launches attractions pass for GTOs

Date Posted: 16/08/2011

Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site has launched a new Greenwich Attractions Pass for group organisers planning a familiarisation visit to the London site ahead of a group visit.

The complimentary pass provides GTOs with free entry to 14 top Greenwich attractions, including The Royal Observatory Greenwich, Peter Harrison Planetarium and The Wernher Collection at Ranger’s House. Greenwich Theatre and British Music Experience offer the pass holder plus-one complimentary entry. Where attraction entry is already free, pass holders will be offered added extras which range from a guided tour or discounted lunch.

A number of accommodation and transport providers are also involved in the scheme, including Docklands Light Railway which will offer pass holders a free day travel card, and the four-star Devonport House hotel which is offering 20 per cent off the price of a room.

It is hoped the pass scheme will encourage GTOs to plan and undertake familiarisation trips to Greenwich, enabling them to gain a first-hand experience of what their group can enjoy on a return visit.
