Northern Ireland heritage site, the Giant’s Causeway, has opened an £18.5 million visitor centre which provides a new gateway to the iconic natural landscape.

Offering panoramic rooftop views of the coastline, it features exhibitions, trails and cliff top walks - all of which form part of a project to showcase the stories and science of the natural basalt columns.

Interactive displays and activities include an animation of the legend of Finn McCool and an innovative hand-held audio guide.

Admission to the National Trust site in Bushmills includes access to the visitor centre, the hand-held pocket audio guide, orientation leaflets and parking.
