Date Posted: 31/03/2012

The Krombacher Brewery in Germany, home of the country’s number one premium beer, has unveiled its state-of-the-art visitor centre, which has seen an investment of €3 million.

Building onto the existing visitor centre which originally opened in 1997, group visitors can now enjoy a newly designed panoramic cinema demonstrating how Krombacher is brewed; touch, smell, hear and feel the raw ingredients that go into making the beer; and explore new exhibition areas relaying the history of the brewery, the people who work there, the range of products brewed, and the commitment of Krombacher to the environment.

Those organising group travel can also arrange a three-and-a-half hour brewery tours, culminating in the sampling of the ‘Krombacher Triade’ - Siegerländer Katebrot und Schinken - bread and ham from the Siegerland region complete with freshly tapped Krombacher.

The brewery is located an hour from Cologne and Dortmund airports, and one-and-a-half hours from Düsseldorf.
