There are still spaces left for GTOs to join March’s Group Travel Marketplace in Shakespeare’s home town.
Organised by Steve Reed Tourism in conjunction with Shakespeare's England, the Royal Shakespeare Company and the Eden Hotel Collection, the event will take place on Monday 21st March.
Group Leisure magazine will be the official media partner.
The day will start at the Royal Shakespeare Company's brand new site, The Other Place, with a mini exhibition by local group travel suppliers.
Open between 10am and 2pm, the exhibition will give GTOs the opportunity to meet representatives from local hotels, attractions and nearby destinations to discuss group travel opportunities and offers.
The event will continue with a familiarisation visit to Compton Verney Art Gallery, Estate and House and Gardens in the afternoon.
About Group Travel Marketplaces
The Stratford upon Avon event is the fourth Group Travel Marketplace to have taken place in the past four months.
Previous ones have been held in Ascot, Manchester, and southern Wales.
Each event is designed to bring together GTOs and group travel suppliers and every one has included a fam trip – from a trip on a French Brothers’ river cruiser at the Ascot event to a visit to Coronation Street the Tour at the Manchester marketplace.
About The Other Place
The Other Place is the Royal Shakespeare Company’s new festival theatre, which features a 200-seat studio theatre, rehearsal spaces and the RSC’s 30,000 piece costume store.
The theatre was originally opened in 1973 to showcase developmental work but it closed in 2006.
It reopening this year has been planned to coincide with the 400th anniversary of the Bard’s death.
