From Hollywood to London’s V&A

Date Posted: 29/08/2012

The V&A's autumn exhibition, Hollywood Costume, explores the central role costume design plays in cinema storytelling. Bringing together over 100 of the most iconic movie costumes from across a century of film-making, the display will run from the 29th October to the 27th January.

Hollywood Costume provides the opportunity for groups to see the clothes worn by beloved silver screen characters such as Dorothy Gale, Indiana Jones, Scarlett O'Hara, Jack Sparrow, Holly Golightly and Darth Vader.

It also illuminates the costume designer’s process in the creation of character, from script to screen, including the changing social and technological context in which they have worked over the last 100 years.

Talks, tours and discounts for groups

Parties of ten or more receive a ten per cent discount on entry to the exhibition, plus special complementary talks and tours can also be booked to enhance your group’s visit.
