Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines Launches Adults-Only Holidays %7C Group Travel News

Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has introduced its first collection of adult-only holidays, offering a choice of 20 voyages to adult travellers.

Groups can visit a range of diverse countries on the new cruises, such as Montenegro, Croatia, Azores and Iceland.

The collection of adult cruises include the Madeira, Lisbon and the Canaries cruise, for 13 nights departing on 30th October 2016.

Ports of call include Funchal - Madeira, Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Accecrife - Lanzarote. Some highlights from this cruise include the chance to explore dense forests and botanical gardens in Madeira, and the option of taking a 4x4 Jeep adventure tour in Lanzarote.

The 14 night Amazon River Adventure in February 2017 may also be a popular choice for groups.

Ports of call include Bridgetown - Barbados, Manaus - Brazil, and Devil’s Island in French Guiana.

On this cruise, groups can go in search of native wildlife such as toucans, monkeys and caiman in the famous rainforests, or, in Santerem, witness Wedding of the Waters – the meeting of different coloured waters of the Amazon and Tapajós Rivers.

Nathan Philpot, sales and marketing director for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, commented, “We know that, for many of our guests, a holiday is an escape from everyday life and routine: this can be finding a quiet space to read a book out on deck, indulging in a few drinks after dinner, or taking an adventurous shore excursion.

“Therefore, our selection of ‘adult-only’ voyages has been created to offer those parents and grandparents the chance to enjoy a holiday within a ‘grown-up’ environment, amongst like-minded people.”

Fred. Oldsen will also be increasing its range of adult-only holidays in 2017/18, to include Balmoral’s 13-night Discover the Baltic cruise, Boudicca’s eight-night Lochs of Scotland cruise and Braemar’s 28-night Islands of the Aegean cruise.
