ENB’s Coliseum duo this winter

English National Ballet celebrates Tamara Rojo’s first season as artistic director with a production of The Nutcracker, and the timeless fairytale The Sleeping Beauty, both performing at the London Coliseum this Christmas.

The Nutcracker

Set in a world of frosty Edwardian elegance and running from the 12th December until the 5th January, The Nutcracker promises to takes groups on an enchanting journey with Clara, her Nutcracker doll and the magician Drosselmeyer.

English National Ballet’s dancers will bring to life Tchaikovsky’s eternally popular score which features Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy and Waltz of the Flowers.

The Sleeping Beauty

Choreographed by Kenneth MacMillan and with sumptuous costumes by Georjiadis, The Sleeping Beauty will play from the 9th until the 19th January.

Combining grand sets and costumes, Tchaikovsky’s score and displays of virtuosic dancing, The Sleeping Beauty is a showcase of classical ballet.

Alongside the performances, English National Ballet is also offering a series of events that delve deeper into the world of The Nutcracker and The Sleeping Beauty, such as workshops and choreographic masterclassses
