Double bill transfer for Globe

Date Posted: 12/03/2012

Mark Rylance will return to the Apollo Theatre to play the title role in Richard III and Olivia in Twelfth Night when Tim Carroll’s Shakespeare’s Globe productions transfer to the West End later this year. Joining Rylance will be Stephen Fry as Malvolio in Twelfth Night, Samuel Barnett and Johnny Flynn.

Playing from 2nd November until 3rd February, both revivals will be performed as all-male Original Practices productions, exploring the clothing, music, dance and settings that were possible in the 16th century.

Richard III and Twelfth Night will run in repertoire at Shakespeare’s Globe from the 14th July until the 14th October, prior to their West End transfer.
