Disney unveils 2012 cruise schedule

Disney Cruise Line has unveiled its 2012 schedule, revealing a variety of new itineraries including cruises on its latest ship, Disney Fantasy launching next March, in addition to sailings from New York for the very first time.

From the 25th May 2012, Disney Magic will sail a total of 20 cruises from New York. Groups can enjoy eight-night voyages to the Bahamas, which include a day at Castaway Cay and a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort from port Canaveral, Florida; five-night cruises up the New England coast calling at Halifax, Nova Scotia and Saint John, New Brunswick; and two-night cruises for those wishing to combine a visit to New York City.

The Disney Fantasy will depart on its maiden voyage on the 31st March, sailing out of Port Canaveral on seven-night Caribbean itineraries, alternating eastern (St Maarten and St Thomas) and western voyages (Grand Cayman, Costa Maya, Cozumel). All Disney Fantasy itineraries will include a stop at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.

Additional new itineraries for 2012 include 12 seven-night cruises from the Port of Galveston to the western Caribbean onboard Disney Magic; and 14 seven-night cruises from Seattle onboard Disney Wonder, calling at Tracy Arm, Skagway, Junea and Ketchikan in Alaska, and Victoria in British Columbia.
