Dinosaur Uprising%3A Land%2C Sea And Air To Arrive At The Eden Project %7C Group Travel News

The Eden Project’s annual summer dinosaur programme will return between July and September this year and will welcome an underwater section for the first time ever.

Dinosaur Uprising: Land, Sea and Air will feature an array of life-like dinosaurs from underwater Plesiosauruses to flying Pterosaurs.

New for this year, groups will have the opportunity to get closer to ancient aquatic creatures such as Plesiosauruses, which were once giant underwater reptiles that could grow to as long as 17 meters.

Summer 2016 will see the Mediterranean Biome becoming home to flying Pterosaurs for the first time. Creatures will include the strange-looking Dimorphodon and the large Pteranodon, which will allow groups to learn more about the flying reptiles.

Visitors will also have the chance to spot a wandering pack of life-sized moving dinosaurs such as Tyrannosaurus Rex’s and Triceratops, as well as a long-necked Titanosaur.

The Titanosaur will offer an insight into the life of the vegetarian creatures which were the largest animals ever to live on land.

Groups will have the opportunity to learn about eating and hunting habits whilst getting up close and personal with life-sized dinosaur jaws, too.

Chris Pritchard, Eden’s production manager, commented: “Dinosaur Uprising will be Eden’s most exciting summer programme ever and will offer an amazing insight into the world of prehistoric beasts, from land-based dinosaurs of all shapes and sizes to the giants of the ocean and the swarming, swooping Pterosaurs.

“We have always had a great response to our summer dinosaur extravaganzas and we’re confident that this will be the biggest and best we’ve ever done.”
Dinosaur Uprising: Land, Sea and Air will take place between the 23rd July and the 4th September and all activities are included in the standard Eden admission fee.
