Curtains to close on Priscilla

Date Posted: 03/09/2011

The West End production of Priscilla Queen of the Desert the Musical will play its final performance at London’s Palace Theatre on the 31st December this year.

Playing in the West End since March 2009, the show had previously been booking until 7th January, and news of its closure closely follows a celebration of its 1,000th performance at the Palace Theatre.

Olivier and Tony Award-winning Priscilla Queen of the Desert the Musical is the story of three friends who agree to take their show to the middle of the Australian outback.  They hop aboard a battered old bus searching for love and friendship and end up finding more than they could ever have dreamed.

Ray Meagher will re-join the show in October as mechanic Bob, joining current cast members Don Gallagher (Bernadette), Richard Grieve (Tick) and Oliver Thornton (Adam) who play the glamorous Sydney-based performing trio.

Groups planning to see Priscilla before it closes should contact their preferred ticketing agent for details.
