Christmas at Shakespeare’s Globe

Shakespeare’s Globe, London will be hosting a range of activities and entertainment for visiting groups to enjoy over the festive period.

Taking place on the 8th December, A Concert for Winter promises a banquet of music, song and festivity, celebrating the work and creativity of Southwark community groups and schools. Tickets are free and should be booked in advance.

The Frost Fair exhibition will return to Shakespeare’s Globe Exhibition from the 1st December. Showcasing traditional London winters from Elizabethan Frost Fairs to Christmas’s of the late 1800s, this popular temporary exhibition will run until the 2nd January.

Particularly suitable for children and family groups, a special activity weekend will be held on the 17th and 18th December. Visitors can enjoy live sword-fighting demonstrations, Elizabethan costume dressing, and printing demonstrations using a full-size recreation of a 17th century printing press.
