Charing Cross Theatre reveals second season

Date Posted: 15/08/2012

London’s Charing Cross Theatre has unveiled its second season, which includes new comedy The Man on Her Mind, Olivier Award-winning La Boheme, and the UK premiere of Jerry Herman musical Dear World.

The Man on Her Mind

Opening the new season on 5th September, The Man on Her Mind runs until 27th October.

American playwright Alan Hruska’s new comedy is an exploration of the age-old story of girl meets boy - or does she? For her, the image taps into her dreams. For him, it’s an equally enchanting but otherworldly experience. Then reality intervenes.

La Boheme

Running from 30th October to 5th January, La Boheme (pictured) is famed as the longest continuously running opera in the UK, winning the 2011 Laurence Olivier Award for Best New Opera Production.

Dear World

With music and lyrics by Jerry Herman, this new version of Dear World by David Thompson is the first production ever to be staged outside of the US, running from 4th February to 30th March.

Set in post-war Paris in 1945, this musical fable of Good versus Evil is a tale for our times, with only a madwoman and her odd collection of acquaintances to save the city from corporate greed.
