Celestyal Cruises Reveals Themed Voyages Around The Greek Islands

Greek Culture and Heritage cruises

The Greek Culture and Heritage cruises, available to book until May, include themes such as Minoan Civilization, the Olympic Games, Greek Mythology and Ancient Greek philosophy.

For example, on a Greek Mythology cruise, groups can take part in activities such as creating a Greek vessel assisted by a ceramics expert, and engaging in a gold-making workshop in the style of King Midas.

Ladies on board might like to have their hair done up in the style of an ancient Greek Goddess, while music fans can enjoy performances from LyrAvlos, a Greek music ensemble.

GTOs will find this particular cruise departs from Athens on 13th May, and visits Mykonos, Kusadasi, Patmos, Crete and Santorini.

Summer Festival cruises

Groups holidaying during June and August can choose from cruises that encompass a summer festival theme.

These cruises might include Greek music evenings, cinema showings, a Science Festival, traditional and modern music, live shows and parties.

Female groups might enjoy a Woman Today cruise, departing from Athens on 11th July. The cruise visits Syros, Cesme, Kos, Ios, and Santorini, and embraces a fashion show, a pop concert, and a jewellery workshop.

Greek Enogastronomy cruises

The Enogastronomy themed cruises are based around food and the secrets of the Greek cuisine, and sail between September and November.

The One And Only Greek Olive Oil themed cruise, for example, will be offering tasting events specialising in olives, olive oil, spreads, sauces, dressings and oximelo – the balsamic vinegar of ancient Greece.

Other cruises include themes like Authentic Greek Cheese and Wine, and Authentic Greek Pies and Pasta.

These foodie cruises are available to book for three, four or seven day breaks around the Greek Islands and Turkey.
