Celebratory concert marks Diamond Jubilee year

Celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee year in 2012, former royal correspondent Jennie Bond will host 11-date tour Happy and Glorious, running throughout February and March.

Promoted as a performance of much-loved pieces and songs to unite a nation, Happy and Glorious features a celebratory programme of works including Land of Hope and Glory, There’ll Always Be An England, Men of Harlech, Calling All Workers, Life On The Ocean Wave, Coronation Scot, Scotland The Brave and Jerusalem.

Commenting on her involvement with the concert, Jennie Bond said: “This will be a great way to celebrate a momentous time in a nostalgic journey through 60 glorious years of music and song. I look forward to sharing the experience.”

Tour dates include: Bournemouth Pavilion (4th February); London’s Royal Festival Hall (5th February); Birmingham’s Symphony Hall (11th February); Philharmonic Hall, Liverpool (18th February); The Anvil, Basingstoke (19th February); Nottingham’s Royal Concert Hall (25th February); and St David’s Hall, Cardiff (11th March).
