Celebrate Christmas of yesteryear at Kent’s steam railway

Date Posted: 11/08/2012

Throughout December, groups can sample the historical delights of a bygone Christmas at the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway.

During your visit, parties can meet Santa in his grotto, where each child will receive a gift; visit the model railway exhibition; listen to a Christmas storytelling session; buy sweets from the traditional festive station stall; and refuel with some seasonal refreshments.

Groups can add an extra dimension to a trip by hiring a beautifully-preserved heritage coach, or extend the day’s festivities by booking the lunch option, which includes a two-course carvery at the nearby Captain Howey Hotel - a stone’s throw from New Romney Station.

Special group offers

Youth group dates are the 4th and 5th and the 11th and 12th December, departing from Hythe Station at 11am, when parties of 20 or more receive one free adult place per paying child.
