Cambridge by bike

Date Posted: 06/04/2011

Active groups visiting Cambridge can take the opportunity to explore the historic city on a bicycle tour, with Cambridge Bike Company.

Set to launch next month, Cambridge Bike Company is promoted as the first company of its kind to provide a programme of bicycle tours around the city and surrounding areas. A programme of four different tours will operate every day except Tuesday throughout the summer, with discounted rates available for groups.

The City Tour will cover key city sights in addition to some of Cambridge University’s historic colleges; while the Grantchester Tour will explore the surrounding countryside and the village of Grantchester, with the option to stop for a cream tea or visit one of the local pubs. Groups can also opt for a five-hour Full Day Tour combining elements of the above in a gentle eight-mile ride. Visiting the UK’s only World War Two American Cemetery, The American Cemetery Tour also includes a ride to the village of Madingley.

All tours include bicycle and helmet hire.
