Call the Midwife taster tours available at Festival of Steam and Transport

Date Posted: 25/11/2015

Details have been announced for next year’s Festival of Steam and Transport, which is returning to the Historic Dockyard Chatham in Kent on 27th and 28th March.

One of the highlights of the annual event will be the chance to have a taster of a Call the Midwife Tour.

The Historic Dockyard Chatham is the filming location for much of the television period drama series, and the taster tour will expose new behind-the-scenes stories and locations that will feature in the upcoming 2016 series and next year’s tours.

Tickets for this experience can be booked on the day at the Call the Midwife booking shed next to the Commissioner's House.

More about the Festival of Steam and Transport

Groups who would like to just visit the festival can enjoy highlights including displays of classic and vintage cars, locomotives, steam traction engines and motorbikes.

A new vehicle display for the 2016 festival will be the iconic Movie Motors collection, which will showcase famous cars from television and film including the Reliant Regal from Only Fools and Horses, and the Ford F1 featured in the Shawshank Redemption.

You can also enjoy a free steam funfair, street acts, live music, and walkabout performers, plus a farmers’ market selling locally sourced Kent products.
