Date Posted: 09/01/2015

The eighth annual Brazilica festival will take place in Liverpool between 17th and 19th July.

The three day event will be a celebration of Brazilian culture and feature a packed programme of events, including live music, food tastings, film screenings and dance displays.

The highlight of the festival will be the Carnival Day, which will take place on the Saturday and feature a parade of samba bands from the UK and abroad.

2015 is a landmark year for the annual festival, because it coincides with the 20th birthday of Liverpool Samba School, who will feature prominently in the event’

Maeve Morris of Liverpool Carnival Company said: “Last year’s event proved a massive success so we are working tirelessly to improve and build on the successful event which people have grown to love over the last seven years. The costumes, music and overall atmosphere are key factors for the essence of the event – all of which we can guarantee festivalgoers in 2015 with a more compact three day event.”
