The European Parliament’s brand new visitor centre - the Parlamentarium - will open in Brussels on the 14th October, enabling visiting groups to gain a fascinating insight into the European Parliament and other European institutions.

Reportedly the largest parliamentary visitor centre in Europe, and operational in 23 languages, groups will have the chance to get closer to politicians through interactive media displays, understand the role of the European Parliament, and take a virtual tour through Europe on a 3D map learning what the European Union has done for each country along the way.

Highlights include a 360-degree projection of the Plenary Chamber, where visitors can see how decisions are made in Parliament; Journey Through Time, an exhibition providing a brief journey through some of the crucial events which have changed the face of Europe; and an interactive voting application offering insight into the political issues being discussed in Parliament.

Admission to the Parlamentarium is free.
