The British Film Institute (BFI) will be hosting The Genius of Hitchcock programme throughout the summer, celebrating and exploring the work of Alfred Hitchcock, one of the most influential and iconic British film directors of all time.

Group travel organisers keen to get involved in the celebrations can look forward to a host of entertaining highlights and events, including cinema screenings across the UK showing a selection of Hitchcock titles; and a three-month BFI Southbank Genius of Hitchcock Season featuring all 58 surviving Hitchcock films plus on-stage events with Hitchcock luminaries.

The Mezzanine, BFI Southbank will also display Hitchcock’s Britain, to feature rare material focusing on Hitchcock’s relationship with the UK.

Finally, forming part of the London 2012 Festival celebrations, newly commissioned scores for four of Hitchcock’s silent films will be performed at screenings in venues across the capital. These include:

The Pleasure Garden at Wilton’s Music Hall - 28th and 29th June
Blackmail at the British Museum - 6th July
