Autumn and winter events at Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew

The Royal Botanic Gardens will run a wide variety of events from September until January.

From September, a special events programme will get underway at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew to mark the seasonal transition from autumn into winter.

On 24th to 28th September, the attraction will host the literary festival Write on Kew. Visitors will be able to attend lectures headed by a number of the world’s most renowned authors. The full list is yet to be announced but, so far, Michael Morpurgo, Margaret Atwood, Louis de Bernières, Richard Mabey and Bill Bryson have confirmed.

On 8th to 11th October, Handmade at Kew will feature over 150 design-makers. On display will be a variety of objects including ceramics, jewellery, glass and furniture, which guests will be able to buy.

On 25th November to 3rd January 2016, groups can go on an illuminated after-dark walk through the gardens. There will be a number of light displays and special installations, winter food and the chance to visit Santa’s Grotto.
