Kent Life Heritage Farm Park’s annual Apple and Cider Fayre will celebrate apple taste varieties dating back to the 1500s, when it takes place on 7th and 8th October.

More than 60 varieties of apples from the 16th century and craft ciders of modern days will be on offer during the festival, along with live music and demonstrations.

About the fayre

Visitors to the festival will have the opportunity to buy fresh fruit, which will be picked just days before the big day.

Guests will also be offered a free apple cookbook, featuring some old-fashioned recipes, while they will also have the chance to watch the traditional process of apple pressing; apples are cut, crushed and pulped, then squeezed in Kent Life’s press dating from the Victorian era.

The fayre will also include an array of entertainment, with live and local music, demonstrations and tours at a wide range of craft and produce stalls, as well as local Morris dancers demonstrating their footwork on Sunday, only.

Visitors can also enjoy a ride on a tractor or a train ride, while also meeting the animals in Cuddle Corner and take a stroll around the Vintage Village.

Group visits

Groups of 15 or more will enjoy discounted admission prices at Kent Life, along with free all-day coach parking.

Group leaders and coach drivers also go free, while group organisers can pay Kent Life Heritage Farm Park a free familiarisation visit.

There is also free transportation around Kent Life for visitors with disabilities.
