Animated attraction at Tower Bridge

Date Posted: 05/04/2012

Tower Bridge invites visiting groups to an audience with Queen Victoria, along with her faithful subjects Sir John Wolfe-Barry, the Victorian civil engineer who designed Tower Bridge, and its architect Sir Horace Jones, to experience the story of the bridge in an educational new show that opens at the London landmark on 1st May.

Using the latest techniques in visual effects, the Tale of Two Towers experience features stars from stage and screen, including Cally Lawrence (Coronation Street, Law & Order UK) as Queen Victoria, Sebastian Abineri (The Bill, Kingdom) as Horace Jones and Robert Benfield (Sherlock, Emmerdale) as Sir John Wolfe-Barry.

On arrival at the North Tower, groups will be guided to engineer Sir John Wolfe-Barry’s Victorian ‘virtual’ study for the show. The projected figure of Sir John is shown in conversation with Queen Victoria and architect Sir Horace Jones, who are both depicted as talking portraits.

Group travel organisers planning a visit to the Tower Bridge exhibition can take advantage of discounted rates for parties of ten plus.
