Alton Towers Scarefest previews new ride

Date Posted: 23/08/2012

Alton Towers Resort’s annual Scarefest is back for 2012, featuring new attraction The Sanctuary, giving groups a taste of its newest ride opening in 2013.

The Sanctuary is a new scare maze, and a terrifying twist awaits all those who dare to enter the abandoned facility.

Preview of new 2013 ride

While details of the new ride coming to the theme park’s X Sector site next year remain closely guarded, The Sanctuary promises a preview of this new feature before it opens to the public in March.

Scarefest 2012

Running over the weekend of 13th and 14th October, and then from 19th to 31st October; Scarefest 2012 sees the return of a host of frightening favourites.

For those arranging a group trip, the park will remain open until 9pm each night, for the chance to experience Alton Towers’ adrenalin-pumping roller coasters and attractions.

Highlights are set to include Terror of the Towers along with travelling circus Carnival of Screams.

Children and family groups can visit Franklyn’s Freaky Farm, meet a host of Halloween Characters, and take part in the Trick or Treat Party Live on Stage.
