The Reduced Shakespeare Company returns to UK stages with a new production that covers comedy through the ages.

Continuing on from the success and critical acclaim of its 2014 season at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, The Reduced Shakespeare Company will tour the UK until 3rd June.

The three-man troupe takes on perhaps its biggest task to date: The Complete History of Comedy, which will see no stone left unturned and no joke untold as the threesome deconstruct the entire history of comedy throughout the ages.

Known as ‘the Bad Boys of Abridgement,’ The Reduced Shakespeare Company has made it its forte to take long serious subjects and compress them into short, sharp comedies.

The company has a history of success in London’s West End, with previous long-running shows including  The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged)The Complete History of America (abridged)and The Bible: The Complete Word of God (abridged).

The Complete History of Comedy will run across a wide number of regional theatres, including The Courtyard in Hereford, Londonderry’s Playhouse and The Regent Centre in Christchurch.
