Oscar-winning Ghost the Musical will tour the UK
Ghost the Musical will make a return to the stage this summer, embarking on a UK tour for the first time since 2019.
Tatton Park in Cheshire has launched a special Gloriumptious Lunch dining package for groups this Christmas.
The package is available to pre-booked groups between Monday 21st and Thursday 24th November, and Monday 28th November and Friday 2nd December.
A Gloriumptious Lunch experience will include a visit to the Tatton mansion, which will be decorated in traditional Christmas style, followed by a waitress-served lunch in the festive Tenants’ Hall for £25 per head.
Roald Dahl
The dining experience is themed around author Roald Dahl’s magical world, in keeping with Tatton’s 2016 commemorative events which are celebrating the centenary of Dahl’s birth, all year.
Groups will be able to catch glimpses of his storytelling around the grand staterooms and into the bustling servants’ quarters, as well as view the Cover to Cover: Roald Dahl Around the World exhibition.
The displays present Roald Dahl book jackets from around the world and from different years, as well as details of his life story.
Groups booked onto the Gloriumptious Lunch package can enjoy these displays before settling down to the Christmas meal.
Festive fun
As is Tatton’s festive tradition, the staterooms and servants’ quarters will also be decorated with fresh foliage and greenery, much of which will be sourced from the estate.
Visitors will be able to hear carols performed live by local choirs and musicians on the grand staircase, and enjoy decorating and kitchen demonstrations.
In addition, a Christmas gift fair will take place over the weekend of 25th, 26th and 27th November, for which coach parking is free.
Group visiting information
Group rates are available at Tatton Park for parties of 15 or more, and guided tours and other group packages are available. Visitors are recommended to allow three to four hours for a visit.
