1960s events at the Severn Valley Railway

The Severn Valley Railway will celebrate its 50th anniversary with ‘Sounds of the 60s’ this summer.

From 14th to 16th August, the Severn Valley Railway will host a weekend of live evening concerts, fashion shows and a classic car display which pays tribute to the 1960s.

Stalls will be dedicated to some of the fashion trends of the decade, from PVC dresses to paisley prints.

The Engine House Visitor Centre will showcase a line-up of preserved jukeboxes while three replica Italian Job Minis will be displayed alongside the railway’s resident steam engines.

On Friday evening, one of the most recognised Rolling Stones tribute bands, The Stones will take to the stage and perform some of the band’s best hits.

On Saturday evening The Who tribute band, The Who 2 will perform on the Kidderminster stage.
