From the award-winning Game of Thrones, to the eagerly-anticipated Blandings, Ireland has provided the backdrop to some of this year’s best films and television programmes.

Now your group can recreate scenes with these deals at filming locations across the Celtic country.

Game of Thrones: Filmed in Northern Ireland, the popular fantasy series Game of Thrones has wowed audiences with its stunning backdrops.

One iconic filming location is Shane’s Castle, built on the north-east shores of Lough Neagh, near Randalstown in County Antrim. The grounds of Shane’s Castle were used heavily in the filming of the pilot and it was the location of the tournament scene.

Deal: Dunsilly Hotel is nestled in the outskirts of the bustling town of Antrim - a five minute drive from Shane’s Castle and a ten minute drive from Belfast International Airport.

The hotel offers rooms for £54 on a bed-and-breakfast basis.

Moone Boy: Due to air this September, Moone Boy is a new Sky One comedy that stars Chris O’Dowd, Steve Coogan and Johnny Vegas.

It is a part auto-biographical tale of growing up in Ireland at the end of the 1980s, and is filmed in O’Dowd’s hometown of Boyle. Boyle is a charming town with pubs and restaurants, surrounded by beautiful countryside.

Deal: Enjoy the genuine Irish hospitality for which Roscommon is famous, with a stay at Rosdarrig Bed and Breakfast.

The modern venue is a short walk from Boyle and makes for a good base to explore the highlights of the region, including Boyle Abbey, King House and Lough Key Forest Park.

A room starts from £30 based on two people sharing, and includes breakfast.

Blandings: The six-part television series Blandings is based on the books of the same name by PG Wodehouse, which will air on BBC1 in the autumn.

The comedy follows the chaotic lifestyle of a dysfunctional aristocratic family at Blandings Castle, and stars Jennifer Saunders and Timothy Spall, with guest appearances by Paloma Faith and David Walliams. The series is filmed at Crom Castle and Estate in County Fermanagh.

Deal: Set in rolling parkland amongst an archipelago of wooded islands, the Crom Estate in County Fermanagh – the historic seat of the Earls of Erne for over 350 years – enjoys a location in the heart of Ireland's Lake District.

Re-live Blandings and stay in the West Wing of Crom Castle itself. This wing is available to hire all year round for groups of up to 12, and can be let on a self-catering or all-inclusive basis. Prices start from £2,500 for a three-night break for 12 people.

Ek Tha Tiger: Released this year, Ek Tha Tiger is a  Bollywood romantic action thriller starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, which tells the story of an Indian spy who is sent on a mission to Dublin.

Shot on location, the film showcases the highlights of Ireland’s capital city, including scenes from Trinity College, the Ha’penny Bridge, Temple Bar, and along the Liffey river.

Deal: Recreate dramatic scenes from Ek Tha Tiger with a city break at the four-star Trinity Capital Hotel. Based in the centre of Dublin, it offers a base to explore the vibrant city of Dublin, with prices starting from £60 on a room-only basis.
