We’ve done some number crunching to find out the stories that attracted the most attention on the Group Leisure website in 2015. Here are the results – counting down from the 10th most popular story, to the news item that took the top spot.

10. Big Bournemouth Beer Festival returns

This story broke on the Group Leisure website on 8th January and revealed the dates and the line-up for the sixth annual beer festival that was due to take place in Bournemouth between the 3rd and 5th April. On 18th July Group Leisure readers learnt about the upcoming production of Tom. A Story of Tom Jones. The Musical, that would be staged at Wales Millennium Centre in spring 2016. 8. Kynren: a new historic theatre event series for County Durham

Published in November, this piece of news explained that group tickets were available for Kynren – An Epic Tale of England, a £31 million series of open-air live action night shows taking place in County Durham in the summer of 2016. Read more >>

7. An Inspector Calls to tour the UK this autumn

1. Group Leisure Awards: 2015 winners revealed

Published on 22nd October, this breaking story told the world who had triumphed at the annual Group Leisure Awards. It listed 21 award winners in total and featured a video from the night, which gave readers who weren’t at the awards the chance to see the Three Waiters – the comedy opera act that took diners by surprise between their entrée and dessert.
